What support is available for carers?

We also want to make sure that you know about all the ways that you can get help for your caring role. This might be:

  • Having a Carer’s Assessment through your GP when you register as a carer.
  • Setting up a Carer’s Emergency Card.
  • Access to the local council and local services via their carer support number.
  • Having services provided to help you and the person you support.
  • Connecting with others who are in the same boat as you through support groups and events.
